How to enable “Smart Invert”, the iOS 11 Dark Mode

Imagine that you try adjusting the brightness of your iPhone to suit your eyes, but even after minimizing the brightness, the screen is still too bright for you. Certainly, it’s not a rare case, especially in the night. But now, thanks to iOS Dark mode, users can finally solve this situation.

Officially called “Smart Invert”, this brand new feature of iOS 11 can help reverse the display colors. It will turn the light background into dark color without affecting the colors of the icons, images, media and so on. With its help, users can effectively protect their eyes in dim light.

How to turn on iOS 11 Dark Mode

Go to Settings> General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations > Invert Colors, tap on the “Smart Invert” toggle to turn it on, then you will find the background of your iPhone change. And not until you toggle it off, the Dark Mode will continue.

Faster way to access iPhone Dark Mode

To toggle the iPhone dark mode in a more convenient way, you can add it to iPhone’s Accessibility Shortcuts.
Go to Settings> General > Accessibility > Accessibility Shortcut> Smart Invert Colors. After that, you can quickly access it with triple-clicking the home button.

Now, you can comfortably enjoy your evening reading.
